This was an uneventful weekend for me. Clocked out of work on Friday and worked on my blog while watching Netflix. I discovered a show that I like and have been binge-ing the show all through Saturday and Sunday.
I woke up early on Saturday and took Holiday on a morning walk and stopped at Dunkin’ to grab Kris and I coffee. Then I came home and worked on my blog some more. Saturday evening, my friend Sarai came to the city after work. We were originally supposed to try to get in La Josie, a restaurant in Chicago – but there was a 45 minute wait and I had a friend that lives down the street inviting us to stop at her place for food and drinks. We ended up walking over to her place, it was her 31st birthday and her fiancé had surprised her with all her friends. It was a fun night filled with dancing, tequila, and people stapling each other?
Sunday was uneventful, I woke up early and took Holiday on a walk. I devoured a breakfast sandwich I made (cheese bagel, pizza sauce, pepperoni, and egg), then I made protein pancakes from Trader Joe’s for Kristian. Then a sudden wave of drowsiness hit me, so I went back to bed and didn’t end up waking up until 1pm. After I woke up from my nap, I planned website and content ideas. Kristian and I ended up going to Walmart in the suburbs. Call us crazy, but a trip to Walmart is our idea of a fun date night out on the town. We went down every aisle and bought stuff that we probably didn’t need.
I’m ending the night with some more Netflix and munching away on some Taki’s 🙂Tags: blogger, Chicago, Chicago Blogger, city life, friends, Lifestyle, lifestyle blogger, ootd, ootd blogger, weekend
